Last October, the cover story on Scientific American magazine was a story on supernovae (exploding stars), and the cover had an artist's rendition of an exploding star with the title "Catastrophysics" (from catastrophe + astrophysics). However, owning a couple of cats myself, I read the cover more as cat + astrophysics. And, being a little slow, I finally got around to a little image alteration work.

The model cat is Lucy, who was cleaning herself after rolling in some flour I had spilled while I was trying to clean it up.
